My Story

Torta Dulces came about on my neverending quest for the perfect dessert. I love to cook but when it comes to pastries and such I could get lost in a cloud of flour forever. I started small years ago...making custom cakes for the kids like a Ninja Turtle cake or a Mickey Mouse cake made totally from scratch and drawn out by hand. From there I spent lots of time making different types of baked goodies. Eventually I learned to art of making the perfect Flancocho (Caramel custard with melted sugar with a white cake on top) although popular in Puerto Rico its not something found in KY until now. After that came the Tres Leche cake and then I got froggy and decided that I could make my own fondant! Which came out perfectly divine along with my homemade double layer vanilla infused two layer cake with a homemade raspberry jam in the middle. It was a hit and something in me struck. I am happiest in the making confections! So now here I am on my latest venture...Cakesicles Rolly Balls and Piesiscles. Now the real only difference between a Cakesiscle and a Cake Pop is the stick....really. That's all it is but it works!  Less mess and bigger bites for you!
